Dr. Patricia Rodie: New Dean of the Faculty of Education & Humanities
The Solomon Islands National University has a new Dean of the Faculty of Education and Humanities. She is Dr Patricia Rodie, one of our local female academics. Dr Rodie is not new to SINU. She was once the former Head of School of Education and Deputy Director of the Solomon Islands College of Higher Education (SICHE) and later the Pro-Vice-Chancellor Academic at SINU before moving on to USP Solomon Islands Campus as Lecturer and later as Acting Campus Director. SINU OFFERS EXCITING CIVIL ENGINEERING PROGRAMME
Among the new and exciting relevant course programmes being offered at the Solomon Islands National University (SINU) in Semester 2 of 2021 is a Diploma in Civil Engineering, focusing mainly on road construction.
At the commencement of Semester 2 in September 2021, the Programme has enrolled 39 students. About 50 percent of the students enrolled are in-service students from government ministries and the private sector. In-service students undertake classes after work from 5 pm till 9 pm while the pre-service students undertake full-time classes from 8 am to 5 pm. Read more...

SINU to Offer Bachelor of Science Degree Programme in 2022
A new milestone course that will be offered by the Solomon Islands National University (SINU) starting semester 1, 2022 is a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree programme under the School of Sciences (SOS). The School is new in the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) established in 2020 following the organizational restructure initiated by the Senior Management and Senate. The new BSc programme will comprise majors in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Computing Science. The BSc degree programme will equip graduates with relevant skills and knowledge required by the industries. SINU APPOINTS PETER LOKAY AS THE NEW FINANCE DIRECTOR
