Unit Title: Clothing design and textile studies

Prerequisite: A pass in Year 11 examination or equivalent

Semester 1: Not offered               Semester 2: Offered on F-F mode

This unit introduces students to the fundamental knowledge and skills of clothing and textiles studies. Through the study of this unit, learners will explore, identify, and classify different fibres used for clothing and other household textiles. Learners will also be introduced to the clothing room, the equipment and safety rules and procedures. The practical component is designed to help learners learn the step-by-step processes of garment constructions through product development and evaluation.
