Overview

Students should develop the ability to understand and write proofs to attain the following learning outcomes.

  1. Be able to effectively communicate mathematical ideas to diverse audiences, both orally and in writing.

  2. Students should be effective problem solvers, demonstrate engagement using technology and connections between different areas of disciplinary knowledge as appropriate.

  3. Master theoretical foundations based on mathematical accuracy through proofs.

  4. Apply mathematical theory to model and solve problems dealing with physical, natural and societal problems.

  5. Use technology software to design and solve computational problems, including simulation and visualization of mathematical models.
