Unit Title: Fundamentals of chemistry A

Prerequisite: CHE301 and CHE302 or A pass in Year 12 examination or equivalent

This unit is designed to help students develop a broader understanding of chemistry concepts. The unit provided avenues for students to apply the concepts they learnt on various relevant topics. Topics covered in this unit include, limits of measurements and dimensional analysis, quantum mechanics, resonance and valence bond theory (shapes), intermolecular forces (surface tension, viscosity etc.), stoichiometry (mole to mole and mass to mass), theoretical and percentage yield of reactants, solubility structure and equilibria.
