Prerequisite: A pass in Year 11 examination or equivalent

This unit builds upon the chemistry knowledge learned in Year 10 and Year 11 and provides basic concepts on relevant knowledge studied. These include significant figures and measurement, atomic structures and bonding, moles and molar mass, empirical and molecular formulae, stoichiometry, structures and properties of substances, solubilities, and ion identification.
