Has a valid BS1 certificate and valid medical report. Has sea time  record of more than 18 months

This unit intends to prepare mariners to manage and operate vessels of less than 20 gross tonnage within the inshore waters. The areas covered are marine legislation and various safety procedures in watch keeping.

This unit is designed for mariners who want to gain competence in the operation of machinery of small vessels. The areas covered will be OBMs, small diesel engines and involving mainly trouble shooting.
