Unit Title: Introduction to basic accounting 1

Prerequisite: A pass in Year 11 examination or equivalent-some business or accounting knowledge from high school education is essential.

Semester 1: Offered on F-F mode                Semester 2: Not offered

This unit builds upon the knowledge learnt in Year 10 and Year 11 in high school. The unit introduces students to four strands of accounting including the nature of accounting, the accounting equation and the double-entry principle, financial accounting and accounting process, and accounting reporting.
